Dr. John C. Wiltshire graduated in 1976 with a B.Sc. in geology from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He worked as an exploration geologist in the oil and mining industries for Noranda Mines, Chevron and Petro-Canada. Dr. Wiltshire earned a Ph.D. in Geological Oceanography from the University of Hawaii in 1983. He then became Ocean Resources Manager for the State of Hawaii in the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism. In this position, Dr. Wiltshire interfaced with the growing marine business and energy sector in Hawaii representing many of Hawaii’s small marine companies in trade initiatives to China and Japan. In 1986, he joined the Hawaii Undersea Research Laboratory (HURL) as a senior researcher. He is now Director of HURL, NOAA’s Undersea Research Center for Hawaii and the Western Pacific (NURC/H&WP). He is also presently Associate Chairman of the University of Hawaii's Department of Ocean and Resources Engineering. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed journal Marine Georesources and Geotechnology. He teaches several courses at the University of Hawaii in the areas of energy and mineral resources. Wiltshire founded the environmental consulting company, TCI Hawaii, which handles a variety of projects in the ocean observation and renewable energy sectors. He is a fellow of the Marine Technology Society (MTS) and was General Chairman of the 1500-person MTS ‘Oceans’ conference in 2011. Wiltshire has authored over 90 scientific papers on ocean resources, marine technology, energy and sustainable development. Dr Wilshire is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Fusion Energy Solutions of Hawaii.
Dr. DeLuze graduated in 1974 with a BA. in psychology and dramatic arts from the University of Hawaii. He worked in water, wastewater, and alternative energy engineering in the 1970's. He founded Ecological Engineering Incorporated in Honolulu in the 1970s. He then returned to school and graduated in 1987 with a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City. He practiced medicine in California and Hawaii. He is a past president, and past vice president of Hawaii Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons. After discovery of this new fusion process, he spent over 14 years prosecuting it to a patent. Collaborating with professors at the UH, this progressed to presenting engineering lectures on fusion to university students. Invited to PACON 2012, he presented a poster and two papers: The Deluze Fusion Reactors; The Implications of Controlled Hot Hydrogen Fusion. These papers are on this website. He is the inventor and patent holder of concentric alternating current particle accelerators for production of fusion reactions. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fusion Energy Solutions of Hawaii.
